Usable memory in Win7 64
I've just built a machine specifically for to use as a DAW.
As there is a 64 bit version of my recording software, and as I happened to have a spare Win7 Pro 64 licence, I've installed that.
The spec is:
AsRock G41M-S
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500
2 x Corsair 2GB DDR2 800Mhz
Radeon HD5450 1 GB DDR3
The BIOS reports 4 GB RAM, as does PC Wizard 2010.
The system reports Installed memory 4.00GB (3.44 usable)
Reading the help seems to imply that the "Usable" figure should only appear on 32 bit versions.
Googling the problem just seems to get daft answers like "are you sure its a 64 bit version of Windows?" or suggestions that the remainder is shared video RAM (which would seem a bit OTT with 1GB on the video adaptor).
Anyone know owt about this?
Naturally I've upgraded the BIOS and all drivers to the latest versions.

Just for others info if they come across it too, memory re-mapping is called loads of different things depending on the BIOS so people may have to read the description of the BIOS settings to find it.
