laptop problem

Hi all

I have a dell inspiron 1545 when I unplug the mains power lead from the laptop the screen gets brighter when I plug the power lead in it isnt bright at all..

This is a real problem and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a setting i need to change so the screen stays bright whilst on charge..

any help appreciated its driving me crazy lol grrr

To brighten press Fn & Up arrow on bottom right keyboard

Set the brightness with the power plugged in using FN and the arrow keys (they will have little pics of suns on the as well as the arrows) and then set the brightness with the power unplugged. It will remember the settings for each.

Sorry, it's function and F4 and F5 to dimm or brighten the display.
