can someone tell me why the mozilla firefox browser seems to take ages to start up..

Because a lot of bits of code taht IE needs is loaded when Windows starts, but Firefox has to load evereything when it starts perhaps ? If you really want to try making it load faster you could have a look at http://www.techsuppor...ke_firefox_faster.htm but do read it completely first !
