stop the pop ups
6 Answers
I have switched from AOL dial up to Wanadoo Broadband, I am really pleased with the service except for the pop ups, they are really annoying. Does anyone know if I can stop them or something. as AOL did have the pop up blocker, has Wanadoo got one?
Cheers

Heres a really good free one

If you are running XP, Service Pack 2 updates Internet Explorer to include pop-up blocking features. Although user24's suggestion of the google toolbar is also good.
Alternatively, go for mozilla or firefox http://www.mozilla.org
They have pop-up and advert blockers and tabbed browsing :-) :-) It's the way to go if you don't have a stupidly large desktop

You could get a web browser with a pop-up blocker included, such as Firefox 1.0 from http://getfirefox.com - which is free and (bonus!) tends to be less vulnerable to all the nasty spyware and worms that can plague IE users.
I'm with jenstar on this one - get yourself the best browser in the world - firefox. It's ********** free and it allows tabbed browsing. This means on AB you can hold down CTRL and click on every question you are interested in, and each will open in a different tab. So while you're reading the first one, the others are downloading. Then instead of having to click back to get to the list, you can just close each tab when you have finished with it.
