Charging via USB?

I'm just wondering that when charging different devices via USB is it a standard voltage that is used on all devices? I've got a fuji camera that came with a USB plug and a USB lead which connects to the plug for charging or to the computer. The thing is I lost the plug but I notice that if I used an i-pod plug and connect the camera lead to this it seems to work for charging.

If I where to buy a replacement plug with USB connection to use for the camera do I have to buy the correct one or are they all the same? Also is using the i-pod plug likely to cause any damage to the camera?

If it works on USB with standard USB connectors then it will charge at the standard voltage of 5v and upto 500mW

You should Lways use the charger supplied if it has a transformer but if it's just a USB lead there shouldn't be a prob.

Thanks chuck, I'll just order one off ebay. As I say count the prob is I lost the supplied plug but still have the USB lead.
