I've got a Sony Ericsson w995 phone. Recently when I turn the phone on after about ten minutes the headphone icon shows on the screen, even though they are not connected, and the speakers stop working so that no noise comes if I play a song or someone rings me. Also if I make a call I cannot hear anything in the earpiece. For the first ten minutes before the headphone icon appears the phone works normally. Also if I connect the earphones to the phone I can hear music playing through then as normal and if I make a call with the earphones connected I can hear it ringing out as normal.

My question obviously is, is there any way to turn off the headphone icon when the headphones are not connected?
