Virgin V+ Box problem

I have recorded items and cannot delete some of them permanently.i.e I recorded Not The Nine O'clock News from BBC1 which is now showing as channel unknown and as though its recording now.I keep on deleting this but it returns the following day. Can any one help

Have you looked in planned recordings? Look at episodes and series and see if it is listed there. If so, cancel the recordings.

Try deleting after you have reset the box (should be a button on the front) if that doesn't work the only way to get rid is to reformat the box, this means you will lose all of the recordings so you should only do it if there's nothing you want to watch. I can't remember the sequence to do the format at the moment so post again if my first suggestion doesn't work. PS. I don't think they take up any space so apart from the annoyance they aren't really a problem.
