I had to reformat my system yesterday and I don't have the driver for my graphic card. Only a VGA is showing up as installed.

Does anyone know how I can check the make & model of my card (preferably without removing it) so I can download the correct driver. My 640x480 16 colour screeen is cracking me up.

Get hold of some software called AIDA32 (available freely from a google search) which will report all of your hardware and software (as well as which drivers you have loaded etc)

I tried to download AIDA32 but it seems all the websites have shut down.

I know it's a matrox graphics card, not sure of the model though. My pc doesn't seem to be picking it up at all.

You can still get Aida32 from here  http://www.freedownloads.be/downloaddetail/353

Download and install it and click on "Display" then click on "GPU".

It should tell you the information you require :)
