Torches (flashlights)

Any fanatics?
I like torches, bought a 3 watt 115 lumens Coleman in Walmart a year or two ago, then bought the 3 watt LED version of the 3-cell AA Maglite - both of which have proved brilliant on a number of camping/festival expiditions.
The latest addition; a "Cree" LED powered torch from Dealextreme (Ultrafire U4-MCU) - it's SUPER bright - blows the other two away and cost less than £14 delivered.
I have a 6-cell (stupidly big and scarey looking) Maglite - the biggest one they do, it looks pretty good as a truncheon but not as bright as I think it should be. I'd love to see some ideas about getting ther most out of it (upgrades/bodges etc)
Illuminatedly yours
