Quality sound demands a high digital bit-rate, and hardly any UK stations provide this. Also, there's presently a question over DAB, since the technology has been been superceded by the DAB+ system. People are actually being advised to look for 'future-proofed' DAB receivers that will accept both DAB and DAB+. It's a shambles. Google for articles on hifi versus DAB, and you might decide, like me, not to bother with DAB until it's all been sorted out.
