LOST TEXT MESSAGES

My Daughter has a jailbroken I phone version 3.1.2 (7D11 Model MB213B) (I'm lost!!!) and has deleted all her messages. The phone has never been synched (?) since she's had it but was initially set up on a friends laptop, She would like to know if there is an idiot-proof way of restoring them,preferably from her own laptop which runs Windows Vista....Will she lose all her data,apps etc.,or is there an app on Cydia (?) that she can use?....I sincerely hope there is a very clever person out there that understands all this !!!!. I don't understand what you mean either, what's jailbroken...? (not being funny, it's all beyond me, but I've never heard the expression before)

i really don't know if she`ll be able to retrieve any of her data there isnt a retrieval app that i know about,

Looked into this. If the iphone was "synced" with itunes after deletion, you won't be able to recover the messages. Searching in google for recover deleted text messages iphone throws up a few solutions.

I not a huge expert on iPhones, but I would have thought that if it's never been synced since she has had it then she won't be able to recover the messages as there will be no backup to recover them from.

also don't install any i phone updates after jail breaking otherwise you'll have to ,re jailbreak it
but sync or backup first
