Can anyone help please?

I have a HP Deskjet F2280 printer/scanner/copyier which I've had for about 2 years. Sometimes it prints at normal speed, (ie:very quickly) But about 2 months ago it suddenly slowed right down, taking about 2 minutes to print an A4 size paper.
Out of the blue it corrected itself.

But now it's started printing oh so slowly again. Anyone got any ideas please? :-)

It sounds as if you have another application running which is using a lot of your CPU capacity or your memory consequently your printer has to wait until it can get some more data to print. Have you got too many programs running at the same time??

I thought I'd keep an update in case this is of use to other people who have the same problem.

I deleted the printer completely. And then I re-instated it from the internet as I couldn't find the disc. And low and behold the problem has now ceased and everything is okay dokey. :-)
