Printer trouble

I have a HP Laserjet 6L and its always been a little temperamental to say the least. Just lately it won't print saying that it is out of paper even though it isn't. The only way it'll print is if I delete the printer and restart my computer. But I can't do this every time as today I need to print off a load of stuff. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check the cable connection and make sure the paper tray is loaded correctly.
