Wireless Typewriter Problem

I may have asked this before, but my Silver Crest typewriter keeps freezing and I have to keep stopping and waiting for it to get going again and also some letters come up twice without my finger hitting it. I have tried changing the batteries but it doesn`t make any difference. Can you help me please? TIA

Yes.
that makes more sense :)

The two problems I've found with my wireless keyboard are

1) it needs decent quality batteries, cheap batteries or rechargeable just don't seem to work.

2) mines very picky about the location of the receiver, for example if I have my receiver pointing directly at me it doesn't work very well, I have to make sure it's the edge of the receiver pointing my direction.
