I know there are many great ABers who help with IT queries (and other things) but Chuck went above and beyond by actually arranging for the netbook to be fixed under warranty when Asus had already told me that they wouldn't fix it.

Just sorry it took as long as it did, if it had been a quick reinstall as I first thought it would have been back with you within 24hrs but after 3 attempts at installing from 2 different windows CDs it was fairly apparent there was something physically wrong with it. anyhow, at least it's working now. just donate £5 to a charity of your choice to cover the postage.

My daughter is VERY happy to have her netbook back! She did think I was a little bit mad for sending it to someone i'd never met though.lol
I told her that I thought you were trustworthy and she trusts my judgement.
