Do they have L and R on headphones? What difference does it make?

The little ones I have I can barely see.

because ears are shaped left and right just like feet.
Seriously? Get yourself a copy of the stereo version of St Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band...
or listen to the start of Dido - sand in my shoes through headphones!
Or the Bat Out Of Hell LP and play You Took the words right out of my mouth (especially the dialogue at the start)
Dido and Aeneas by Purcell? Superb stuff!
yeh dotty, that one is amazing, always amazes me how they do that when listening thru headphones!
Though unless you had either a prior knowledge of an album, or some visual reference to tie the sound to you wouldn't know if the channels had been reversed, so I can see where ummmm is coming from with the question.
you had to go and confuse things with ya big words lol!
OMG Ummm you see with your headphones? x :-)
Thick as too short planks and proud of it, eh Benny...?

I will put them all on my playlist :-)

I just didn't understand the difference...and, if the difference was so big, why don't they print the L and R in larger print?

Chuck.....got you. I will listen to some Floyd, A band I know...and then reverse them...:-)

Try Interstellar Overdrive, especially the last couple of minutes...
If you only ever listened to your music through headphones or stereo speakers reversed to "normal" it would make no difference. it's only because you get used to the stereo channels being a particular way round that headphone makers remind you to wear them the correct way round.
It's to make sure you recieve the right signal to the correct ear just as the recordings intended you to hear it. You'l find that most are moulded to fit in the ear canal's specifically to the left and right ear, so able to gain full appreciation of the tune being played, with the full stereo separation to blow you away.
Try listening to a particular album one way, then reverse it, and see which sound you like best.

Mark...will do :-)

Chuck....I'm a novice to headphones.....prepare yourself for questions to come..!

Yogi...I'll do A and B and get back to you (A&B is nothing naughty thoughxx)

I find in headphones the base is more pronounced in one side from the other.
Bugger....and there's me thinking i've finally pulled. :0) xx
