Wife is now beginning to suffer from hearing loss but will not consider any type of hearing assistance! Therefore I would like to get some mini speakers to plug into the back of the TV. If the speakers are small enough she may not notice them until she dusts the back of the set (a weekly thing). Has anyone any experience/ideas/etc for such things? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. B.

I bought a pait of mini-speakers for my LG 22`` TV because the sound wasn`t very good and plugged them into the headphone socket and now the sound is very good indeed.

This is difficult, it's not so much a technology problem as an emotional one, it is for some reason more difficult to accept that one is losing the faculty of hearing than the loss of vision. If your wife can only be convinced that wearing a hearing aid is really no different to wearing glasses I'm certain her life will be much enhanced. I am not an expert, but I have much experience in such matters, she should talk to her doctor. Good luck!
