Google's search window

Sometimes the cursor in the search window of Google (AND Youtube) stops while I am typing my search topic and I end up having typed nothing !
I have to keep clicking in the window to make sure my cursor stays there, very annoying.

I am really not impressed with the way Google images 'works' these days - very fiddly and annoying, this problem seems to have appeared at the same time as Google's site "improvements".

Is it a Javascript issue ? (ChuckFickens ?)

Are you giving the website chance to load before you start typing? Payapl does this if you start typing while it's still loading.
