Is there anything I can do to increase the buffering speed when listening to music on YouTube?

I'm fed up with all the stops along the way !

try closing everything else down on the computer.

PS including background virus scans etcet but don"t disable your firewall

I have seen it written here that you start the play and then immediately pause it. This apparently lets the system continue downloading the file. After a suitable period you press Play and may get to here the music without pauses.
