Bedlam -believe me !
Did you see thread upon thread upon thread upon thread about it and avatars showing how 'bad' it was?
Naw -cos we just get on with it :)
Im proud of my fellow countrymen who are STILL snowed in-in appallling conditions.
The people who were trapped in their cars with young children for 17hrs and more overnight -i posted one thread - 7 responses - 3 mine (i think)
That all well and good though cos i dont think anyone has cause for complaint from now on - do you?
O and did I post incessantly today about my husband being trapped as he has to get back down south-taking him 10hrs -nope -just glad he's safe and you all have leccy:)

You have it really bad up there, bless you all......and coping with it like real troopers too, it seems.
You just dont realise how bad things are when the appaling weather conditions hit your home area and how you have to cope.
Good for you, sweetheart.... and all ye brave scots......something to be proud of, for sure.
Hope your hubby is well and glad is safe too :0) xx

I understand where you're coming from Dris. I did mention on another thread that someone was acting like their town was another country because of the snow.
We've had, for days and days ,threads about a little bit of snow but when you look at what's happening in Scotland, and the lack of threads from the Scottish about it...I have to agree...you are a hardy bunch :-)
Worrying time as well....!!
Hey...least you get to go to Spain :-)

It didn't need post upon post about it - it has been plastered all over the news about how bad the weather is in Scotland, yet people still insist on driving in it and are then surprised that they have got stuck. Surely you get lots of bad winter weather and are geared up to deal with it? Us softie-southerners aren't and to us it is a novelty (which is now wearing thin). Glad your husband is safe though.
Yogi, you're on :)
Sherrard, we don't get weather like this very often - this is the worst for 40 years so we are far from used to it. As for folk driving in it, our employers still insist on us getting to work and there is no public transport running. I agree that some folk are out and about unnecessarily though - Xmas shopping is not a good enough reason! But we are not geared up for this sort of weather. Grit and salt is no use below -10, we are having temps between -12 and -17 here just now, and we don't have hundreds of snowploughs etc - even if we did they are also being damaged by the severe temperatures.
