I have had my iPhone 4 stolen whilst out shopping today. I have blocked the sim with 02, and remotely locked and wiped the phone via my Mobile Me account, my question is will the person who my phone be able to use it in any way despite all the blocks and locks I have applied.

Even the phone block via Mobile Me is only useful if the phone is turned on with the sim in it, otherwise the phone will never receive the command. So all in all my Apple Mobile Me subscription is useless, I now have to wait 10 days for a crime reference number before i can make my claim. I'm bloody fuming

I wonder why a person would have a phone but no charger/ instructions/ disc/ box etc

Yeah, that is really dodgy!. I want to make sure that whoever has my phone can never use it, but I don't hold out much hope. I've read that 02 do not track IMEI numbers, and the Police were not very optimistic. I keep chec king to see if the phone has been turned on, but no joy. No phone for at least 10 days to boot, well ruffled around the boa
The "finder" will not be able to use the phone as a phone in the UK. In Europe it will work but not in the UK.
However they will still be able to use the phones apps. So if you have any email setup or any private info on the phone they will be able to see it. I suggest you change all your passwords for email, facebook etc.
