Computer messed up
4 Answers
Two boxes have appeared on my computer and seem to be messing up its operation. One says "Windows Installer - Preparing to install" and the other "Microsoft Money. Setup needs to clear Microsoft Money Express". I cannot clear them, they have turned the screen to a yellow colour, and Explorer does not now operate properly. Could someone please shed light on this problem? I shall be most grateful for advice.

click on advanced, you should see a tab it's all the way to the right, I'm not a my computer right now....This is running Win 2000 pro. I'm running Win ME on mine & it's diff here. any ways..... The far right tab ...click it , you should see boxes one of them should say system restore. You either have to check or uncheck it, you'll see..... Disable restore, restart your computer. Run your VirusScan software. This could help. It's what helped me once, I had a trojan which was attached to the restore archives, the only way to get rid of it is to disable the system restore, make sure to go back & enable system restore after you are done. I hope this helps. The other way isn't too pretty.......Our comp guy at work had to reformat my bosses hard drive. I don't know if he needed to take this step or it was job security for him.
