Can anyone recommend a cd/vinyl record player....

How much do you want to spend, and how interested in sound quality are you?
I'd suggest seperates personally (but i'm a bit of an audiophile) so i'd look at either

Don't buy those 'orrible plastic things from the sunday supplements. They have tinny awful sound, and the record deck has a crude plasticarm with no proper weight adjustments and antiskate, plus a ceramic cartridge of unknown origin. Guaranteed to wear down your records fast. Do yourself a favour and get a classic 70s deck (Garrard, Lenco, Pioneer...) and a decent amp for more or less the same money - look second hand.
