Please help. intermittent fault on laptop mousepad. Cursor doing its own thing and jumping about. Is this damage and mechanical fault or a softwear problem? Many thanks.

Thank you for re posting this. Just about managed to get here now. Cursor also makes blue squares when trying to move it around. Not all the time. Cursor arrow just does not go where I want it. This happened a few weeks ago and then after a few days corrected itself. Thanks again Sometimesit
