My daughter is in Australia for 3 weeks. What is the cheapest way to speak to her, we are both O2. Is it cheaper for her to receive calls from a landline or is it cheaper for me to call her mobile to mobile?

As far as I know (unless things have changed) when you answer a mobile call abroad, you end up paying for part of the call. Landline calls to Australia aren`t too expensive these days. I have bought a phonecard in Australia before. I think it was about A$20 and lasted for about 4 hours! I ended up phoning everyone just to use it up.
If you have a pc / laptop / netbook and she has a pc / laptop / netbook then consider skype.
My daughter is currently in the far east on a month long holiday (hong kong, malaysia, thailand etc) and we have been keeping in contact with her via skype on video conferences which is free.
Many places have free wi fi so it is fairly easy to "talk" and see each other via a skype "call" which is totally free.
