Ripping a CD

I am just starting to learn how to rip a cd then put the music onto a memory stick. I seem to have troubles when doing this for a double album because the name is the same, it keeps telling me that I already have this album, do I want to replace the first one, which I don't. Firstly, I copy the album from the Media Player, then open Music and send to the memory stick. Is this correct or should I be using some other method. Any help would be much appreciated.
