I am running Internet Explorer on Win.XP, on some sites where you are required to fill in forms with name & address Etc. you can just click on "Auto Fill" on the top toolbar and it saves a lot of repetitive typing by filling it in for you but I have noticed that on some sites with forms to fill in when you click on auto fill a message is displayed "Auto Fill not available for this page" so why does this happen? and is there a way to make these sites auto fill friendly?

Look at the address bar when you find the sites auto fill won't work on. I'd be willing to bet the ones it doesn't work on will start httpS (the S means it's a secure site)

If so then you really do not want auto fill working on secure sites, imagine you log into your banks pages, the login details are saved and then somebody gets their hands on your computer, back they go to the bank site and all your details are waiting to be automatically auto filled in.

I see your point chuckfickens but sometimes filling in details can be a real pain in the
A*** especially if there is more than one form to fill in.
