my computer and nokia 6630

hi all. can anyone help me please? i bought a nokia 6630 and i'm trying to connect it to my computer with the usb cable supplied. i've already installed the nokia pc suite cd thing, but my computer refuses to recognise that the phone is plugged in.the computer DOES give out three quick 'negative' beeps as if it knows something has been plugged in, but wont do anything else. it's driving me mad, especially as the computer recognises our digital camera no problem. i have uninstalled the nokia pc suite and reinstalled it, but no luck. i've also tried a new usb cable. i have windows xp, and dont know anything about computers. any help really appreciated. all i want to do is put songs on my phone! thanks!

You should contact Nokia for help with this one, but you could try attaching your phone and then installing the program, or installing the program and then attaching the phone, depending on which way around you've tried it. Also, explore the phone for connection options - it may be that the phone needs to actively connect as well as the computer.
