Printing problem.

I have an old Epson Stylus Photo 870 printer, it prints okay when I have it set to 'Normal' print. When I set it to 'Best' print, it stops printing half way through the document.

Has anyone got any idea why it would do this, please?

TIA. x

First things first - do you have the latest driver installed?

I don't know, Mark. Probably not, as I have had the printer for about five years and I haven't changed anything on it.

It just seems rather strange that it will print in Normal and Draft without any problems.

I've just downloaded it from that link and now when I try to print I get page after page of black blocks, strange looking letters .... but no document. :o(
What driver did you download?
Question Author
Windows XP.
And was the driver you downloaded more recent than the one already installed?
Question Author
Yes it was.

Mark, I think I've sorted it, thanks. I turned everything off, then back on, and now it will let me print (I don't have the option of'Best' anymore, but I'm sure there will be something similar to select ... will have a closer look at it after tea).

Thanks again. x
