hiya, i am having problems accessing some pageson my laptop, as it says page not found, also i cannot get microsoft updates and it keeps saying bad request 400 please help this not so clever oap please

Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, download Mozilla Firefox for free. You won't regret it.

I'm sorry that Firefox crashed on you as I have had no problems with it. There are also other search engines such as Chrome which get good reviews from the more technically aware members of this site. IE is generally reckoned to be the worst.

You say that SOME pages are not accessible therefore others must be OK, meaning that your Internet connections are working fine.
Is it possible that the non-working info has been copied or typed in incorrectly?
A comma instead of a full stop in the link would make it in-accessible.
It could also mean that the link is no longer available and has been removed from the Internet.
Just a thought!
