For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you mean an indoor aerial booster, I bought one of these some years ago, installed it in the loft and hooked it up to a conventional outdoor roof mounted aerial and powered it from a socket on the landing. This was when we went from 1 telly in the house to 4. It enabled all four of us in the family to watch our own TV in separate rooms - something that we couldn't have done without the booster.
The signal on the one original TV was perfectly OK without being boosted. I agree with gingejbee that it may not be much good if your unboosted signal strength is poor.
