My desktop computer is giving the message "wireless internet is not connected" It is normally connected via a Dongle plugged into a USB port..It has worked perfectlt for two years.Any advice would be appreciated

unplug the dongle & plug it back in ... for starters.

I have tried unplugging.
Next ..
Look in Device Manager .. first check 'show hidden devices' in top dropdown.
Then plug in the USB dongle .. watch the entries add the device. Expand to see the device (maybe in USB or network sections) and double click properties to see if 'working without problems'
You may get some info there.
If problems .. try unplugging.
Clean ANY entries listed in DM as 'UNKNOWN' or yellow entries by R-clicking and uninstalling.
Reboot and try again.
Repeat above steps if necessary.

Then try a different USB port.

You really should check the Device Manager for bad entries as explained above tho .. Sounds linke there will be one/some.
