Printer keeps printing out test page

I have a HP PSC 1500 All-in one printer. I have just replaced the colour cartridge.Now every time I switch on the printer it prints out the alignment page.How do I stop it doing this?

Try following the alignment procedure under the maintenance tab of the printer driver properties.

Need to know what version of windows you are running to give instructions.

what i have to do is get the test paper and put it back on the scanner and then press scan on the panel and then that should be it

put the test paper face down on the scanner

It's different for all printers though, gina (though you may be correct, it's not certain)

Click on your start button, select control panel > hardware and sound > printers.

When you can see the printer then right click on it and select properties, once the driver properties come up you should (hopefully) have a maintenance tab, click on that and look for a button labelled something like print head alignment and from that point you should be able to follow the instructions on screen.

(if it doesn't work then next thing to know is are they genuine HP cartridges or not?)

Thanks Gina .I tried doing that again but problem persists.Yes they are genuine from Amazon.Thanks Chuck. I,ll try that.If that doesnt work I will try taking cartridge out and putting it in again.

Eureka.I got as far as properties but couldn't find a maintenance tab so refitted colour cartridge and replaced black one,(which I thought was OK cos there was a green tick on the ink levels page).Now all hunkydory :).Thank you both for your help.
