For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.i have found after owning an Evesham 1.4 athlon with 512mb ddr ram, ge force 3 card, 120gb hard disk and firewire and the new imac 800mhz with 256mb of sdram 60gb hard disk and superdrive (dvd-r & cd-r) and using both on a regular basis that the pc is faster when surfing the internet and is definitely better for playing games. The mac is far more at home with creative software. I use tne imac for editing dv which is so easy it's a joy to use.
But the main difference is the operating system and lack of right click (which at first seems so limiting then soon you realise that it's not needed, and then wonder why you cant do without it in windows) to put it simply os X is sleek and refined and it makes win xp look awkward and bloated, this is my opinion but you could argue the case for each all day, it's all down to taste (and there are those with it and there are those without it).
