selling DVDs online

Has anybody had any experience of using 'musicmagpie' or 'webuydvds' to sell second hand videos?
Benn having a clear out and just wanted to get some other's opinions before registering on the site. My main worry is that once they receive your dvds they start lowering the price saying it's slightly scratched / box damaged or whatever.

Any feedback from those that have used a site like this would be appreciated. Thanks

I tried them,you get next to nothing. I had a Jason Manford DVD still in the cellophane wrapper,completely unused and was quoted £1.96.Told them to get stuffed.

Do they also buy videos, or is it just DVDs? I think everhelpful may be right on this front; have heard of people getting next to nothing for things like this.

my gf was going to use them, but when she entered the dvd details (friends series 1) they offered 35 p so we decided to give them to a charity shop instead. how hard up must they think people are to accept 35p for something. i think the highest price they gave for 1 of the other dvds was 64p lol

You may want to try CEX, they have quite a few shops springing up - but again you probably wont get much there either. Most DVDS are just over a £10, so 2nd hand you dont want to pay near that, so any shop etc needs to make a profit, so offers pennies
ebay may be a good shout, try doing it on a free listing day

The prices are pretty low. I typed in the bar codes for 30 DVDs and got an offer of £24 pounds, which is why I was worried they would then start reducing their offer once they'd received the discs. Postage is free though.

JohhyBoy, they take DVD, CD and games but not videos. I've been looking into that to as I have dozens of videos can't find anybody to that buys them, even read that some charity shops refuse VHS now.
Will look into CEX, thanks Jack. Will also look ut some of mu titles on ebay and see if they're going for enough to make it worth my while.
Don't think I'll get very much for them anywhere to be honest but suppose a bit more cash and a lot less clutter would be good.

Was also thinking I could just put an ad in local paper offering them as a job lot to car booters. Anybody tried that?
