could anyone please tell me what graphic card is compatible for the acer aspire 8930,it had a nvidia ge force 9700m gt with 512 mb dedicated video memory in it,i have searched and searched to replace like for like,so is there one compatible,or an updated version that is compatible,many many thanks,for any advice offered,as im clueless.

Could you post a more complete model number, all I'm finding for that is a laptop and as you can't change the graphics cards on a laptop I'm guessing you are talking about a desktop

Though the basic answer is any graphics card that fits in the same slot (AGP or PCIe) and has drivers available for your OS

sorry its a notebook i think the model number being 83902173823,thanks for your reply.

You can't change the graphics cards in notebooks, they are part of the mainboard. if it's died then you need a new mainboard.
