think i have done everything they wanted but still do not have avatar. suggestions as to where i have gone wrong please

Have you used exactly the same email address as you use for here?

Did you select the 'G' rating for your avatar?

naz yes and i have also noted that it will not let me crop in any way - so confusing

headwreak - selected an imager and confirmed it. chose g rating (could not crop but so what) and then nothing has happened. only have one email address so not a problem

Are you using an image from the web, or your computer?

Firstly, I'd suggest cropping it square on Photoshop first (i.e. not in Gravatar) to solve that problem.

i've tried all that with no effect. i know i'm a luddite but this is really bugging me. have read screen carefully and followed all instructions.

Although I had a lot of problems in the beginning and now change mine quite frequently, I still forget each time what I did, until I remember to go to `My Pictures` and click on the one I want, which I then click OK and the file appears, one more click and when I see the picture I just click `G` and confirm. It may take a few minutes to appear in your `My Profile`. I hope it works for you.

hi i'm back now and in answer to headw i get that far and then nothing. i'm doomed, doomed.
c23 done all that will have another go when i feel i have the patience
thanks to everyone for your help. at least i know i am on the right track. i just seemed to have hit a pothole somewhere along the road.

If you go on My Profile and then select Edit My Profile is the AVatar Activation box ticked? If not you need to tick it. Then you need to save the change
