Virus Vault

I know it might seem a silly question,but I'm fairly ignorant of the actual workings of a computor, but what actually happens to the virus etc isolated in the vault if I empty it? I use AVG 2011

It gets deleted from your computer

I thought that, then I thought it just seemed a bit to easy a way to get rid of potentially damaging stuff, any way thanks for bothering to answer

i think maybe if you delete it from vault - it can come back?

i may be wrong though

No it gets put in the vault so if you decide that you still need it for whatever reason, you can put it back on your computer. If you don't need it, you delete it.
