please help me!

I have an oral exam in french in a few weeks and i have chosen to talk about the dangers of mobile phones...anything from the radiation to the fact that it is a distraction..so to help me out can some of you guys argue for and against the banning of mobile phones because they cause cancer and road accidents and etc? THANX

You could make the point that talking on a hands free kit is also a distraction, but argue that it may not be any more distracting than talking to someone sitting beside you or singing along to the radio

Blimey that was quick - you've got to give the venerable surfers on this site time to cogitate and prepare their thoughts Shandy!

My big gripe is the use of mobile phones when driving... recent findings suggest it is MORE dangerous than drink-driving (though how they compare unlike with unlike I cannot work out). There is no doubt in my mind that reactions are dimmed at best, but the government has failed to ban the use of phones while driving, even though this is in force in many/ most other countries.

Another thought - the number of male drivers on the phone when there is someone else in the car, male or femaile.. what are they like? Must be the 'alphamale' in action, needing to control transport and conversation? Morons.

There, hope that offers some food for thought. Or should that be 'mati�re � r�flexion'...?
