I have downloaded IE9 but I need to have service pack 2 to install it. I have downloaded sp2 but each time I try to install it it fails and tells me to get the 'check for system readiness tool'.
I have downloaded and installed that but get the error :
'TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100).

I have tried Googling but no obvious answers present themselves.

Please help!

I've seen that site and the solution offered but I don't think the readiness tool installs properly. It hangs for absolutely ages and says it has installed but I'm not so sure.
Have you tried a full cleanup .. all temp stuff .. temp internet files, and tried disabling AV while you install it?
Can you see where it installs?
Have you done a Windows Update to make sure you have all the fixes on that are needed BEFORE SP2 can be installed.

If you do a Windows Update you may find that then you get offered SP2 as part of Windows Update.

I have one important update available which also fails to install but doesn't sound related.

When I do windows update it just takes me to a Windows 7 upgrade area.

I guess I'll have to give IE9 a miss but I'm more concerned at security updates I am probably missing.
