YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, share, and view videos. Officially opened in 2005 by three former PayPal employees YouTube quickly became an internet sensation, resulting in Google purchasing YouTube LLC for $1.65 billion.

YouTube is a hub of user generated content, full of video blogs, comedy sketches and “how to” videos on thousand of different subjects. The website is a hive of creativity and opinion, making for some interesting and thought provoking content.

The top ten viewed YouTube videos each have over 100 million views, with the top spot going to Lady GaGa’s “Bad Romance” music video, racking up a whopping 226 million views to date.
