Using Mobile Phone In Majorca
We are taking our teenage daughters to Majorca for a holiday and would like to be able to keep in touch with them now and again on the island via mobile phone without breaking the bank. I am on O2 and they are on t-mobile. Does anyone know the best and cheapest way to go about it?

that's a very old site with old information, there has been EU enforced caps on the maximum roaming costs for several years.
O2 currently charge 28p to make a call and 7p to receive a call (per minute) which is the maximum allowed.
So to call mobile to mobile will cost the caller 28p per minute and the receiver 7p a minute.

My family and I are all on O2 and we used to get a "bolt on" when we went on holiday to Menorca. We often found that we were on different networks over there but it worked just fine, and as I am the only one who uses a pay as you go I always made sure my phone was well topped up before I left - the rest of them could shift for themselves!
if you have a couple of spare unlocked handsets about get a couple of these sim cards, they are supposed to be the cheapets for overseas calls from most countries and will work well if ringing in the same country.
