Passport Question

i would like to renew my passport. It is approx 2 years expired. However, i can't find it. Is there a way of renewing without having the actual passport or number? or will i have to go for an interview as if it was first one?

once you report it as lost and get the police paperwork you should be able to apply for a new one. I did that once ... and of course a month later found the old one in the bottom of the pocket of the jeans I'd worn on my last holiday. I'm more methodical now.
