School Trip To Thorpe Park
11 Answers
Long story but little Tigs didn't want to go to Thorpe Park tomorrow as a reward for students with no more than 5 demerits and no detentions. The cut-off for booking was Tuesday and yesterday his best friend told him that she was going and he now wants to go but it's too late. He was crying most of yesterday evening and this morning.
The year 7 head has said he is now on the reserve list in case anyone drops out but if they don't he will be so upset. Not sure what to say or do anymore. I've tried to calm him down and tell him I'll take him but he wants to go with his friend. Any suggestions on what to say or do as he just keeps crying? Hopefully he learns his lesson and doesn't leave things like this to the last minute or when it's too late!

He's gonna have to deal with not going if he can't go. I told him he will get over it but he's still in that upset state of mind like it's the end of the world.
Pat/Lottie, he's still 11 (12 in May) but he is on the autism spectrum and has ADHD.

You weren't to know, Lottie :o)
He cried when I picked him up from school but seems to have calmed down now and is much happier after I told him again that there will be other opportunities to go I future. Also waiting for him at home was a Fat Brain 'simpl dimpl' sensory toy key ring I ordered for him a couple of weeks ago. He's addicted to them and has a vast collection of fidget dimple toys.
