There’s a Sunday morning market there all year round, we passed a stall selling books for as little as 50p, I saw quite a thick hardback ‘ LULU’, my daughter said ‘get it, she’s of your era’ so I did and have started to read it ( strange after reading a Kindle for so long) what a tempestuous upbringing she had, a drunken father , there were rows every weekend where both her parents would hit one another,her early life in Glasgows east end living in tenements, I think I’ve struck a bargain here

Yes that was ok I also quite liked The Man who sold the World although Bowie's version was the best. Remember Boom Bang a Bang - on a par with Shout :-))

Her version of The Man Who Sold The World was the best.
Produced by Bowie himself, he got her to smoke lots of cigarettes to make her voice more gravelly. He also plays the brilliant saxophone parts on it.
