Train London To Banbury
I travelled by train mid afternoon Thursday 11 Jan from Banbury to London.
I was told by ticket office ( thank goodness we still have ticket offices) that there was slippage on the line between Bicester & Haddenham, and there was a replacement bus service to cover that stretch but I could expect AT LEAST an hour's delay.
He suggested I took a slightly later train to Didcot Parkway where I could change onto a train to London. Obviously this took considerably longer than I'd planned for & I arrived in Paddington rather than Marylebone. No great problem.
But ... I need to get home later today, Friday. My googling is unable to discover whether I need to return the way I came, or whether the normal direct route from Marylebone will be operational. Can anyone give me a link which would provide the information I need?

However only half of all train services are cancelled, with the other half running as normal. For most of the day that means cancellations of the services at 36 minutes past each hour but with those at 2 minutes past each hour still operating as usual.

Chris. Thank you very much for giving me precisely the information I need.
I'd prefer to return via Marylebone. I have a Chiltern ticket & Paddington to Didcot is a GWR service & the ticket inspector had not been informed about the problem before he saw my ticket, & had to take advice about letting me continue to travel without further payment!
I can easily arrange to take a train leaving at 2 mins past the hour.
