Plenty of beautiful places in europe which can get hot enough. But where ever you go August is a busy time.
South Africa? Sun City is supposed to be great and you can throw in a safari while your there!
Try http://www.tailormadejourneys.com/holidays-travel-india/index.html for an Indian experience. Few other companies offer similar trips and that could fit the bill. See: http://www.infoindiatours.com/east-india-tour.html as option.
Try South Africa - safaris, beaches, culture - see: http://www.south-africa-tours.com/ for astack of links to look at.
Try Vietnam. Opening up more now, and full of exquisite places. One site at: http://www.greentrailtours.com.vn/ May be easiest to book flights/accom. and then what tours suit you - short trips available
Strap on yer boots - walk the Atlas Mountains in North Africa. Cheap option too http://www.worldwalks.com/morocco02.htm and add a beach bit one end or the other (tours are round trips) in say: http://www.morocco-travel.com/h/Essaouira/index.html Essaouria is a nice chilled place to have a break as one suggestion.
Hope the above helps.
Cuba is fantastic.Havana is a must.It was voted the top most interesting destination in the world with the best beaches and the culture is ace.
And boy can they salsa - best place I have ever been.We went to Havana on Revolution day where there were 1m people on the streets to hear Fidel Castro. We have a great photo once Revolution Sq was empty, after the rally with the image of Che in the background and we were on our own.We stayed AI in Varadero and your budget would definately cover that..
Hi
I agree Egypt would be the best option, thou flights may be a bit on the expensive side in Aug. Book a few nights in a hotel in Cairo then let the hotel staff arrange all the trips etc it works out much cheaper than going with an organised tour.I did that and had an amazing time.....or fly to Sharm el Sheikh in Sinai and explore the desert and the red sea.
South Turkey is a good one too, you can stay in Fethiye a hill top town or stay in Oludeniz, where there is an lagoon and lots of site seeing. May be a bit too busy in Aug tho.
What about Thailand - a few days in Bangkok, then a relaxing week on Koh Samui?
We were there last year and spent about a similar amount. The hotels were fantastic, the weather lovely, beautiful food, the most friendly people in the world, and plenty to do and see.
