Malta and the curse of the Time Share con merchants
This isn't a question, more of a warning to anyone going to Malta this year.
I just got back after a fab week in Malta but the one downer is that there now seems to be a proliferation of these timeshare t*ssers that plague all Med resorts. I certainly can't recall there being any there when I was last out a few years back.
The main culprits seem to be the Package Holiday Reps themselves, especially the First Choice reps. So, if you get asked if you'd like to see a new Hotel complex (I think it's Golden Sands), it IS a time share hard sell, It takes about 3 hours (not the 30-40 mins that you're told about) and your rep IS lying to you. Also beware of couples driving around in jeeps, one of them jumping out and asking if you'd like to take part in "a holiday survey"
Apart from that Malta is still a lovely place and the locals are wonderful people.

Something to do with Irish law, perhaps? It worked, anyway.
Either that or tell them to eff off.
