Agriturismo bay of Naples area
7 Answers
Does anybody have any recommendations (preferably first-hand experience) for an Agriturismo in the area between Naples/Sorrento/Amalfi/Salerno?
Any other comments or suggestions would be very welcome. I'm in the very early stages of planning a trip (+/- 10 days in May 2007 - flying into Naples and renting a car for all or part of the holiday).

As for the driving, it really isnt bad. Just dont take your own car as the foreign number plates will attract attention of theives. If you can, have a look around the city. Go to the Castel Sant'Elmo, and the Galleria Umberto, and the Chiesa Gesu Nuovo. Just scribble those down and get a taxi from the centre of town to each - you wont regret it. Check in a guide book when they are open too. Also, a night on the island of Capri will be very memorable. Plus if you go to Pompeii, go for sunset.
Thanks for the tips, Hannah - noted in the (as yet) thin file. This is the sort of place I am looking for for accomodation:

It would be nice if someone could recommend something from personal experience.

we've been to sorrento a few times and we really like it, naples is a let down, go if u must, but there not too much to see, positano is beautiful and the amalfi coast line is breathtaking, the roads are very narrow and steep, so try and get an organised coach trip to really enjoy the views, we're going in may and the weather in may this year was in the 80's plus!!! from sorrento you can catch ferrys to capri and itchia, again these places have small roads and hills, but worth a trip, if you go to capri, dont forget your wallet!!!!!!!! most of all , enjoy
Hi
following on from earlier answers, I prefer the more italian resorts of Maori & Minori.....Positano is fabulous but (for me) doesn't have any more than these to offer.....You must also go to Ravello.....wonderful place...
Dont forget the almost compulsory visit to Pompeii!!!
have a wonderful time...you wont regret a minute of it
