Thomson Villas in Albufeira, The Algarve, Portugal

We're thinking of booking a villa through Thomsons in the Algarve, perhaps the resort of Albufeira for May 2007 for a couple. Just wondered if anyone has been to a Thomson villa and what you think of them, also has anyone been to the area we are thinking of? Would be pleased to hear your opinions. Thanks in advance

Sorry I know nothing about Thomsond villas but I have been to the Algarve. We stayed in Villamora but did a day trip to Albufeira. I would recommend that you get a hire car as the Algarve isn't that big and there are lots of places to explore. You can even go over to Seville in Spain if you have time.

Albufeira is very..very.. hilly, so do be careful where you are staying. very nice resort but as i said before it is not for easy walking its all very steep unless you stay in the town itself.
